here is a list ranking all of the ABA law schools, from u.s. news.

the validity of these ratings is disputed.  in fact, the ABA disclaims them.  here is an interesting article about it.

 general resources and outlines:

a good site written by a law student, for law students, is law student resources.

the site above contains student-created course outlines, but i started an online law outline database.

if you can't find what you want here, two good commercial outline series are emanuel's and west's high court case summaries.

 online legal dictionaries:

the dictionary at at nolo.com features "plain english" definitions.

ip law in oregon

 in october 2003 i was sworn in as a member of the oregon state
 bar

the office.  apply for the patent exam, check out whether your perpetual motion machine is prior art or whether you can name your operating system "LINDOWS" without getting sued, at the u.s. patent and trademark office website.

 the CAFC:

the court.  everything you might expect the web page for the u.s. court of appeals for the federal circuit to have.
